We smoke our fish in small batches by hand, once a week. Because of the lengthy process and the time involved for our small team, we normally dispatch once a week on a Thursday on an overnight service to mainland UK addresses, for an expected delivery to you on a Friday.

All of our packaging is recyclable and the majority of our packaging (where possible) is also compostable. Our business is based on circular economy principles. We farm our rainbow trout onsite here in Yorkshire. There are many reasons why our customers return to us for our quality produce. The most important one to us is the welfare and water quality for our fish. That's why we maintain stocking densities below recommended organic farming practices and refuse to routinely dose our fish with antibiotics and chemicals. All this, while doing our bit to put a stop to polluting our inland waterways and the huge industrial trawlers dredging our vulnerable sea beds and oceans.

We have available slots to collect in person from the farm. But we do ask; please don't turn up un-announced. It's likely we'll be very busy tending to farm duties outside of the available pickup slots.

Yes, Our herbs and vegetables are packaged in craft paper brown bags, Our smoked trout is placed on a compostable backing board, inserted into a vacuum compostable plastic free pouch and then slotted into a recyclable fsc certified cardboard sleeve.
